The African Savannah Elephant is the largest land animal on Earth. Yet, despite its enduring popularity and its iconic status, it is at risk of becoming extinct during our lifetimes due to the encroachments of man. I wanted to bring to life the majesty and beauty of this wonderful creature. I used this vibrant colour scheme to represent its strength and power, while the trailing lines of paint evoke my tears as I reflect on what we may lose without concerted efforts in conservation.
