Exhibitions & Competitions

I love to take part in competitions and exhibitions that allow me to get up close and personal with people who love what I do. There's nothing better than being able to speak directly to those who are interested in my art, and there's no better way than putting on a show where everyone is invited.

Here you can find out about past exhibitions and any I am currently working towards.  Unfortunately, covid has put a dampener on a fair amount of these, but I am optimistic for 2022!

Hope to see you there!

NOVEMBER 2022

Sketch For Survival Invitational Collection

I was honoured to be asked to come back this year to take part in the Sketch For Survival Exhibition as an invitational artist this time! This competition is run by Explorers Against Extinction and all the artworks are auctioned off to raise money for conservation projects around our planet. I have a particular affinity with elephants, and so I submitted Hold On (Little Elephant) this year to help the cause. You can get involved any time of year by clicking on the link alongside, and next year maybe you can submit your art to the competition too.

Sketch For Survival Finalist

I was over the moon to achieve finalist position in the Sketch for Survival competition, run by Explorers Against Extinction. It made for a good excuse for some long overdue travelling to London for the exhibition at Oxo Tower. All the  artworks were auctioned off to raise money for the 21 for21 Project, helping environmental projects around the globe. For more details about event, please click on the button alongside (featuring my painting!) And if you want to purchase a print of my 2021 entry, click here

AUGUST 2021

Inkberrow Lockdown Art Fair

The second ever 'Lockdown Art Fair' on the village green in Inkberrow. Coinciding with the August Bank Holiday, artists from the local area congregated to show their works of art to the community.

AUGUST 2021

Stratford-Upon-Avon Aunnual Exhibition

After missing out on our annual exhibition in 2020, we made up for it with extra gusto this year. It was great to be back at the KES (King Edward VI Shakespeare's School) to show off our hard work from the past two years. Monthly painting competition winners were awarded a free space to exhibit their prize winning artworks at the exhibition, and  as a group of winners, we had a wee chat with the Stratford Herald to discuss our efforts throughout lockdown. Read the newspaper article by clicking on the image.

MAY 2021

S.A.S. Monthly Painting Competition Winner

I entered the Stratford Art Society competition for a 2nd time in May with a picture from my series 'Into The Blue'. The pastel painting is called 'The Truth Lies Beyond' and I am very proud to have won!

MARCH 2021

S.A.S. Monthly Painting Competition Winner

I entered the Stratford Art Society monthly painting competition in March with a painting called 'Hidden'. It is inspired by the series I continue to work on called 'Grow Where You Will'. An empty landscape viewed from behind ever growing grasses. I think lockdown inspired this a bit

AUGUST 2020

Inkberrow Lockdown Art Fair

A fabulously arranged art fair to show off our lockdown creations. The Redditch Standard came to write a wee article and take some photos too. Read the full article by clicking on the image.

APRIL 2020

The 7 Arts Still Exist Online Exhibition

At the beginning of lockdown, I took part in a fantastic online arts and music festival. It was a first for me, and little did we know how things would progress from there!

MARCH 2020

Redditch Art Society Exhibition

Throughout March I demonstrated at the Forge Needle Mill in Redditch while the exhibition was in progress. I had a lot of fun chatting to art lovers and needle enthusiasts alike (my background in fashion showing through there!) Looking back, it was a lovely end to 'normality' as we knew it then. Unfortunately the Redditch Art Society has since ceased to continue as a direct result of Covid, which is a real shame and I hope once life resumes, we can perhaps build something in its place.
