I was so inspired by the growth of unkempt hedgerows during lockdown that I embarked on a series of flower paintings entitled ‘Grow Where You Will’. This piece encapsulated the peace and calm, which although fleeting at times, was a beautiful emotion to hold onto when it emerged.
 
The flowers sway gently in the breeze, soft and delicate, creating a sense of movement and life in the painting. The soft and muted colours create a peaceful and calming atmosphere with pinks and purples blending seamlessly, then contrasting with the turquoise in the background to create a harmonious colour palette. It captures the beauty and tranquillity of nature, creating a sense of peace and serenity that can be enjoyed by all.
